1. Who we are

2. Data we collect
- Account data: email, hashed password, practice name.
- Uploaded filings: documents you upload for QA and risk analysis.
- Derived data: extracted figures, findings and risk scores.
- Usage & security: sign-in events, IP address, user-agent, audit logs and consent records.
- Cookies: strictly-necessary session cookie and, with your consent, first-party analytics and marketing measurement.
3. How we use it (lawful bases)
- Delivering the service and your account — Article 6(1)(b) contract.
- Security, fraud prevention, service improvement — Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests.
- Marketing emails — Article 6(1)(a) consent (opt-in only; withdraw any time).
- Meeting legal and regulatory obligations — Article 6(1)(c).
4. Processors and sub-processors
We share only what is necessary with vetted processors under written data-processing agreements:
- Supabase (EU region) — authentication, database, and encrypted file storage.
- Lovable AI Gateway (Google Gemini) — on-demand document extraction. Content is processed transiently and is not used to train third-party foundation models.
We do not sell your data. No advertising or profiling cookies are used.
5. Retention
Account and filing data are kept for the life of your account plus 30 days after deletion (to allow account recovery). Consent audit records are retained for 6 years to satisfy accountability under UK GDPR Article 5(2).
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. Requests: privacy@myledgerlens.co.uk. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
